February 2026

Here's what we cooked up:

  • A new onboarding experience for startups
  • Contact an attorney from inside the platform
  • A dedicated signing page for third-party signers
  • Chat conversations that survive a refresh
  • Clearer founder equity setup

A new way in

Onboarding was rebuilt for startups.

Talk to an actual attorney

When something needs a lawyer rather than a workflow, you can now request one from inside the platform and get a confirmation that the request went through.

A signing page built for people who do not have accounts

Third-party signers get their own page, with clear states for signed and not yet signed and a preview of what they are signing. When they finish, their view updates without a manual refresh.

Chat that does not lose your place

Conversations are restored from your history, so refreshing or coming back later picks up where you left off. Suggested prompts on the incorporation flow are more useful, and legal knowledge and platform knowledge are now kept separate so answers stay in the right register.

Clearer founder equity

The founder equity pages were reworked: consistent "equity" terminology, an explanation of the option pool, better validation on allocations, and an extra step on the 83(b) progress bar so the filing is harder to lose track of.

Documents and details

Document names in the library were cleaned up, previews show which document you are looking at, download buttons are labeled.

General improvements

  • Signing emails were rewritten, with clearer wording, better font sizing, and a link that takes you straight to the document.
  • The signing modal explains the Address field and marks it optional where it does not apply.
  • The password reset flow was smoothed out.
  • Document names in the library were made clearer, previews name the document you are looking at, and every download button has an icon.
  • Third-party signers can preview the whole set from a dropdown before signing.
  • "Option" was replaced with "equity" throughout, and the landing page now says Startup Attorney.
  • Knowledge base uploads now accept .doc and .docx, process faster
  • The website footer gained Terms, Security, and Cookies.
  • Other improvements.

Fixes

  • Equity allocations could not be completed with multiple founders, or when a single founder held 100 percent. Both now work, along with share-field validation, the percentage display, and the vesting commencement date.
  • SAFE offerings showed the wrong wire transfer address and dropped the entity suffix from the signature block.
  • Documents from the Delaware formation set carried a duplicate email address.
  • The EIN rejected valid phone numbers.
  • Third-party signers saw repeated connection errors.
  • Your company name did not update on the dashboard after you changed it in a transaction, and the account switcher failed to load for people with more than one account.
  • A button said "queue for signing" when it actually sent for signing.
  • Other fixes.
